Confirm the correction
Deep scratches, oxidation, and visible prep marks should be resolved before this stage. Finishing compound will not replace sanding or cutting.
Professional finishing compounds
Competition Purple and Blueberry are low-cut, fine-abrasive compounds designed to maximize clarity and luster after preparation, cutting, and coloring are complete.

How the final stage works
Finishing compounds remove faint haze and improve optical clarity with minimal cutting action. They work best only after the previous stages have produced a uniform, defect-free foundation.
Deep scratches, oxidation, and visible prep marks should be resolved before this stage. Finishing compound will not replace sanding or cutting.
Pair the selected bar with a dedicated UBM or flannel finishing wheel so heavier abrasive from prior stages cannot contaminate the finish.
Use clean lighting and stop when clarity improves. Repeated passes cannot repair defects that belong to an earlier stage.

Final-stage compound and a soft finishing wheel refine the work created by the cutting and coloring stages.
Compare the two formulas
Both formulas work across broad humidity and temperature ranges. Choose Competition Purple for a dependable final-stage balance or Blueberry for the least cut and finest abrasive profile.
Fine abrasive grains and a balanced consistency that is neither especially wet nor dry.

Super-fine abrasive grains in a very dry finishing bar for maximum refinement.

Which bar should I choose?

Surface preparation
Before finishing, the surface should be clean, uniformly polished, and free of deep preparation marks. Correct visible defects in the stage that created them.
Every project is different. Metal type, surface condition, prior abrasives, existing finish, damage level, and desired result determine the preparation and earlier polishing stages required.
Application process
Install the clean UBM or flannel finishing wheel with proper safety flanges. Confirm the machine and wheel speed ratings before use.
Prime a new wheel and remove hardened buildup from a used wheel. Never carry coarse compound into the finishing stage.
Touch the bar lightly to the spinning wheel. Too much compound can smear, load the wheel, and reduce clarity.
Keep the wheel moving, monitor heat, and inspect frequently. A common finishing range is 1,800–2,200 RPM, always within equipment ratings.

Expected result
Use finishing compound on properly prepared aluminum and stainless surfaces including wheels, tanks, and trim. Test the complete process in an inconspicuous area first.

Frequently asked questions
Competition Purple has a 2/10 cut and balanced 5/10 dryness. Blueberry has the least cut at 1/10, a 6/10 dryness rating, and super-fine abrasive grains for maximum refinement.
It can refine only very faint haze or micro-marring. Deep scratches, oxidation, and visible sanding marks require the appropriate preparation, cutting, or coloring stage first.
Use a clean, dedicated soft finishing wheel such as a flannel or UBM wheel that is appropriate for your machine, metal, and target finish.
No. Residual abrasive from a prior stage can reintroduce haze. Keep each compound on its own clearly identified wheel.
Use a light, brief application to the working edge. Reapply only when polishing action falls off, and rake the wheel if buildup develops.
A common final-stage range is approximately 1,800–2,200 RPM. Always follow the lowest rated speed of the wheel, flanges, adapter, and machine, and adjust technique to the project.
Select Competition Purple or Blueberry above, then pair it with a clean finishing wheel.

"Works great"
"Great products makes polishing easy"
"Excellent product"
"I’m an owner operator that polishes my own equipment, for the last several years i have been using a “competitors” brand cutting compound and buffing wheels. Decided to give renegade a shot this year and am extremely glad i did! Hands down the best polish on the market the other products i was using don’t remotely compare. Looking forward to trying more of their stuff on my truck!"
"Renegade products is all i use in my shop and all i will continue to use in my shop!! Keep the product line coming!!!"
"Their compounds and wheels are far superior to any others i polish on the side and have always gotten awesome results using their products"
"I got the express shipping and still took way too long"
"I’ve been experimenting with this and the competition purple for my finishing, and I like that I can run this at a little higher RPM without burning the color into the metal unlike the purple bar you have to keep it at a low rpm"
