Use the edge of the buffing wheel with a compatible variable-speed grinder and the appropriate compound. The smaller diameter helps you reach detailed areas that are difficult to access with a full-size polishing setup.

Which grinder is recommended?
The existing product guidance recommends the DeWalt DWE43240INOX. Use a compatible 5- or 6-inch variable-speed grinder and verify its mounting hardware and operating range.
Do I need Mini Safety Flanges?
Yes. These wheels must be used with compatible 3-inch Mini Safety Flanges for correct seating and mounting.
Why should I rake the wheel?
A Buffing Wheel Rake removes hardened and burned-on compound from the edge. Buildup can reduce efficiency and leave a rougher finish. Rake as needed, then reapply a small amount of compound. Follow the rake and tool manufacturer's operating instructions.
What safety equipment is recommended?
The product guidance strongly recommends a full-face respirator mask. Follow the wheel, flange and machine manufacturers' safety instructions and use suitable protective equipment.
