Surface prep
Use the Buff and Blend Disc for moderate cleaning and deburring before polishing.
Refine the surface
If remnants remain after preparation, follow with 320-grit sanding as needed, then progress through appropriate fine-grit sanding discs.
Move to polish
For the polishing stage, pair the appropriate Airway Buffing Wheel with polishing compound. Follow surface refinement with Tripoli compound and the appropriate airway buff.

A variable-speed machine lets you control the process at lower speeds. Renegade recommends the Makita 9237C variable-speed polishing machine for lower-speed use around 1,000–1,200 RPM.

What are Buff and Blend Discs used for?
Moderate surface cleaning and deburring before polishing. After preparation, further sanding may be needed to refine the surface before the final polishing stages.
What is the difference between 1-ply and 2-ply?
The ply selection identifies the number of layers. Each ply is epoxied together to help prevent flaring. Choose from the combinations available in the selectors above.
Does every selection include all three wheels?
No. The three-wheel kit applies to the Surface Prep Bundle option: a 9-inch Medium Blue 2-ply disc, a 9-inch Very Fine Maroon Satin Airway Wheel and a 9-inch Ultra Fine Black Satin Airway Wheel.
Will this disc produce the final polished finish?
This is a surface-preparation step. Refine with sanding where needed, then use a matched buffing wheel and polishing compound for the polishing stage.

"The green coarse discs were essential for any inner wheels. The blue medium discs were excellent at blending back to the satin airway before 400 grit. Cut and color with final cotton buff finishes it off to perfection. I wanted to thank specifically Victoria at the Renegade facility ,who went above and beyond to so we could get back out on the road (or out to the forest) Thanks again"
