8-inch Yellow Airway Wheel
The first machine stage for developing color and clarity on forged aluminum.
Forged and billet aluminum system
A matched machine-polishing kit for forged aluminum wheels: Yellow and True Green build the shine, UBM and Competition Purple refine it, and Forged Red keeps the finish bright between major polishing sessions.

Complete kit
The wheels, compounds, mounting hardware, maintenance tools, liquid polish, and applicators are selected to work as one repeatable forged-wheel process.

The first machine stage for developing color and clarity on forged aluminum.
A softer final-stage wheel for the Competition Purple finishing pass.
One True Green coloring bar and one Competition Purple finishing bar.
Mount on both sides of the airway wheel to support and secure it.
Primes new wheels and removes spent compound from the working edge.
A mild hand polish for cleaning, shining, and maintaining forged aluminum.
Clean finishing towels for the final wipe and presentation.
Hand applicators for working Forged Red evenly into the wheel.
Use a compatible polisher or grinder that can operate in the specified RPM ranges.
Stage 1 / Color
This is the first machine pass for billet and forged aluminum. It develops the base shine before the lower-speed finishing stage.

Stage 2 / Finish
Drop the speed for the finishing pass. The softer UBM wheel and fine Competition Purple compound refine the surface left by Stage 1 and deepen the show-quality finish.

Competition Purple provides the finer final pass after the initial Green compound stage.
Stage 3 / Maintain
Use the included microfiber round pads to apply Forged Red until a dark haze develops. Remove most residue with cotton terry cloth, then use an included clean microfiber towel for the final wipe.

Start-to-finish workflow
Wash, degrease, and fully dry the wheel. Remove loose contamination before machine polishing. Deep scratches or curb damage can require sanding first.
Secure the Yellow wheel with the included safety flanges. Confirm the assembly is tight, then rake the working edge to prepare it for compound.
Run Yellow + True Green at 2,800–3,200 RPM. Change to the dedicated UBM wheel + Competition Purple at 1,400–1,800 RPM.
Apply Forged Red with the included round pad until a dark haze forms. Remove residue, then finish with a clean microfiber towel.
Tools that protect the process

Place one flange on each side of the center-plated buffing wheel and fasten the assembly securely before polishing. They support the center plate and help keep the wheel in place.

Use the rake to prime a new wheel and remove hardened compound buildup. A glazed, silver-looking edge or reduced metal dust indicates it is time to rake and reapply a small amount of compound.
Is this the right kit?
| Your surface or goal | Fit | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Forged or billet aluminum wheel | Best fit | The wheel and compound pairings are selected specifically for polished forged aluminum. |
| Restoring gloss on a dull but serviceable wheel | Complete process | Use both machine stages, then Forged Red for the final hand-maintenance step. |
| Maintaining an already polished wheel | Use Forged Red | The liquid polish can maintain shine between major machine-polishing sessions. |
| Deep scratches, curb rash, or heavy surface damage | Prep first | Additional sanding or surface preparation may be required before using this polishing kit. |
| Painted, powder-coated, chrome-plated, or clear-coated wheel | Verify finish | Do not assume bare-aluminum methods are appropriate. Confirm the wheel finish and test a small area first. |

Frequently asked questions
No. A compatible variable-speed polishing machine or angle grinder is required and sold separately. It must be controllable within the recommended RPM ranges.
Start with the 8-inch Yellow Airway Wheel and True Green compound at approximately 2,800–3,200 RPM. Follow with the UBM wheel and Competition Purple at approximately 1,400–1,800 RPM.
No. Keep each compound on its dedicated wheel. Cross-contaminating the UBM finishing wheel with the more aggressive first-stage compound can reduce the quality of the final finish.
Rake a new wheel before applying compound and rake again whenever the working edge becomes glazed or loaded. Reduced polishing dust or a silver-looking edge are common signs of buildup.
It is designed for bare polished forged and billet aluminum. Painted, powder-coated, chrome-plated, and clear-coated finishes require different care. Confirm the finish before polishing and test a small area first.
Two machine stages, the essential mounting and maintenance tools, and a dedicated hand polish in one matched kit.

"We bought the Forged Wheel kit and 6 inch mini discs to buff out our 2010 class A RV bus after sitting outside in storage for 3 years. This kit worked magic making these wheels look new again. Spent about an hour per wheel, and got great results. Thanks Renegade!"
"Polished my 22x12 forces worked really great. Polished the backs of them as well took them from a fully mat finish to mirrored. Used 35-45% of the compound bars. Definitely have enough to touch them up a few times and would have used allot less if I just did the dish and faces of the wheels"
"Not worth the money"
"Hands down best kit fo polishing"
"Seen videos online, was sure it would work as soon as the videos but man it’s an amazing product especially for the price. Here’s a before and after without even sanding the wheels."
"Found this product on YouTube and after some informative videos I decided to give it a try. So I bought the kit and necessary polisher and gave it a shot and my 28 inch forged wheels came out amazing!!! Absolutely love this product and the results are incredible and this was my very first time polishing, super user friendly experience!!!"
"My rims was in bad shape. Tired of paying people to do your rims. Renegade makes it easy for you. Thanks Renegade for all of the how to videos without them I would not have a clue."
"I mainly used this for my aluminum toolbox. The 1st stage with the brown bar and pink airway pad worked good. The 2nd stage with the green bar and yellow airway pad worked good. But, the 3rd stage with the purple bar and white airway pad left scratches. I was assuming that the metal polish included in the package would take the scratches out. It doesn't. I went to H. F and bought a stick of white rouge and tried that with the white pad and that didn't help with the scratches. Overall the toolbox came out real shiny. Be prepared to turn black when doing this!"
"Good stuff"
"Starting a polishing business and this kit is the first thing in my arsenal. Well worth the investment."
