Renegade Paint Decon Kit
Renegade's Paint Decon Kit consists of our Voodoo X Iron Remover, Triple Threat All-In-One Formula and a medium-grade clay bar, along with some microfiber towels for spot cleaning. Voodoo X Iron Remover acts as the first step in decontamination and Triple Threat will act as a quick detailer, waterless wash, and as a crucial lubricant during the clay bar process, helping to prevent the marring of your paint.
Renegade's Paint Decon Kit is meant to be used to decontaminate the painted surfaces of your vehicle. It will help to remove deeply-embedded contaminants such as road grime, tree sap, industrial fallout, and most commonly: brake dust.
In most cases, these contaminants cannot be removed via a typical wash. Properly using a clay bar on your car can help to clean the paint, prepare it for a wax or coating, while also revitalizing your paint by helping to remove surface impurities that may cause your paint to appear dull.
Designed to:
-
Decontaminate and Revitalize the painted surfaces of your vehicle.
How to Use the Renegade Paint Decon Kit:
- Wash your car thoroughly with a car wash soap (such as our Renegade Moneyshot Wash & Wax or Sud Storm Wash, Wax, & Shampoo) and dry completely before claying.
- Spray Voodoo X Iron Remover onto the painted surface that you are working on to begin breaking down iron deposits before the clay bar process. Caution should be taken to only do this on surfaces that are cool to the touch and not exposed to direct sunlight/heat. As Voodoo X Iron Remover begins to work, iron deposits will begin to dissolve and turn purple in color--signifying you are ready for the next step in decontamination.
- Knead the Renegade Clay Bar with your hands to soften it and make it pliable.
- Spray a generous amount of Triple Threat All-In-One Formula onto a small section of the paint surface.
- Gently glide the Renegade Clay Bar over the lubricated area using a back-and-forth motion, applying light pressure.
- Regularly check the Renegade Clay Bar for contaminants and fold it to expose a fresh surface.
- After claying each section, wipe the surface dry with a Premium 16" x 16" Microfiber Towel.
- Follow up with a protective coating, wax, or sealant to protect the newly-cleaned paint. Some good options for this step would be our Graphene + Ceramic Spray Coating, Graphene + Ceramic Wax, Hydro Guard Sealant Spray, or our Supreme Sealant.
The Renegade Paint Decon Kit Includes:
- One (1) 16 Ounce bottle of Triple Threat All-In-One Formula
- One (1) 16 Ounce bottle of Voodoo X Iron Remover
- One (1) 3" x 2" Renegade Clay Bar
- Three (3) Premium 16" x 16" Microfiber Towels
Pro Tips:
- Ensure that the exterior of the vehicle has been properly washed prior to the clay bar process to remove surface contaminants as best as possible.
- Work in small sections, using a linear motion.
- Use light pressure and ensure that you are using a clean clay surface.
- You may want to break the clay bar into smaller pieces. In the event that you drop the clay bar on the ground, DO NOT use it again. It's very likely that the bar has picked up contaminants and impurities that will cause flaws in your finish. Breaking the bar into pieces will keep you from having to dispose of an entire bar after a single drop.
- Knead the bar when necessary to expose a clean, new surface. This will extend the life of the bar and allow you to work on multiple vehicles.
- New or like-new vehicles are still candidates for the clay bar process. Sitting on dealership lots and auto transport trucks have likely subjected the vehicle to outside elements, industrial fallout, and pollutants as well.
- Use on a vehicle that is cool to the touch. Avoid using in direct sunlight.
- Should you drop the clay bar on the ground or in the event it becomes overly-contaminated, replace the clay media.
